Got a picture with Dorothy (Phoebe's great aunt) and Bob (her son) this morning. They've been awesome hosts and we've been pretty bad guests -- I don't think we've spent more than 20 min with them because we're up at 7am to get to the conference and they're in bed well before we get home. We did get a few pics with them this morning though -- they leave today for the weekend and are kind enough to let us stay while they're out -- but not before I locked us out of the house (closed the kitchen door behind us without checking it was locked when we took the pictures outside). Luckily Bob was able to break back in.
Caught a ride with a brasileiro from brazilia this morning. I think I threw him off so much by speaking portuguese to him that he canceled our ride 100 ft. in -- I didn't realize this until 5 minutes later when I got a notification on my phone to rate him while I was still in the car. I asked him about it and he said it was his fault and he'd take us the rest of the way for no charge. I said no way and ended up tipping him the amount of the ride in addition to what was charged for the short $100 ft ride. I did say it would cost him a picture though:
